WHAT CAN HYPNOTHERAPY DO FOR YOU?

Deeply calming, hypnotherapy is able to bring about lasting, personal change quickly and naturally. There are no drug related side-effects just you making the changes you need to through the power of thought.

Change is generally lasting because once we are able to react to our boss, the spider or the situation in a way that is helpful to us, there is probably no reason to want to change. We know when we've identified an unhelpful behaviour when we ask ourselves 'Why do I always do that?' when the thing we really want to happen, fails to. This self-talk comes from our conscious mind. We are behaving unconsciously when we automatically flip to that old habit that always messes things up.

Whether it be addressing a large crowd of people or resisting the temptation to eat the rest of that packet of  biscuits before supper, hypnotherapy can help you maintain the calm and focus you need. Through hypnotherapy we can consciously influence how the subconscious mind reacts to help us be the way we want to be.

HOW IT WORKS

Hypnotherapy is a way of influencing the subconscious mind to alter unhelpful habits, routines, fears and beliefs that we'd rather be without.   Unhelpful habits or thought patterns come about as a result of negative experiences, often developed in our formative years. Stored deep within the primitive mind, these unconscious beliefs  trigger unhelpful behaviours such as irrational fears, addiction, self-sabotage,  self-loathing, anger, weight gain and anxiety related illnesses.

Some studies suggest that 90% of our decisions are made subconsciously with just 10% made consciously.  If this is the case, no wonder it is so challenging when we want to do things differently.

Hypnotherapy uses a combination of deep relaxation and carefully crafted language patterns to influence the subconscious mind. We are familiar with our subconscious minds at work when we dream. While dreaming, our bodies react to imagined scenes that our mind thinks are real. We can become tense, our hearts race, we sweat and even call out... only when we wake up do we realise we were dreaming. A skilled hypnotherapist is able to lead the  subconscious mind in to believing that our desired thoughts and behaviours are actually becoming a reality. Through repetition, thought patterns that in past seemed so inhibiting become of little or no significance, enabling us to carry on with our lives free from their burden.

What MY Clients Are Saying

"Having had about 10 sessions with Ian, I've been continually surprised by the effects. The subtle but significant changes to my mentality, mood and behaviour have proved invaluable...." - Rhiannon"

"I went to see Ian to help me with controlling my drinking alcohol. I was so tired of anxiety and hangovers that I decided with Ian's guidance, to just go for it and stop drinking completely. It was really easy to talk about my issues with him and accept his guidance. Amazingly, after all my years of trying to stop drinking, this session worked and I am now sober." - Elizabeth
